How does the treatment begin?
Laser removal always begins with a detailed personal consultation. This is followed by an anamnesis of the skin, a health assessment and a discussion of the goal. We provide information about possible risks and side effects.
To test the skin reaction and the effect of the laser on the unwanted pigment, a “test shot” is performed on a small area. This allows us to make more precise statements about the duration of the treatment and to see whether the pigment is suitable for laser treatment at all or whether alternative methods and treatment options such as PhiRemoval would be more suitable.
How many sessions ?
The number of treatments required can never be predicted exactly, as this is very individual and depends on many factors.
As a rule, we assume 3-10 sessions for complete removal. In exceptional cases (e.g. very deep-seated and color-intensive or very old color pigments), up to 15 treatments may be necessary. However, we advise against more than 5 laser sessions for PMU.
The following factors are decisive for the success of tattoo removal:
For example: age of the tattoo/pigmentation, depth of the stitch, location of the tattoo, the color tone as well as the number of touch-ups and type of color pigments used and the skin’s own wound healing.
Alternatively, we also offer laser-free tattoo removal with PhiRemoval, which is suitable for color pigments that the laser cannot see, such as camouflage color containing titanium dioxide or red and orange color pigments with iron oxide.
These colors may contain heavy metals that should not be removed with a laser. For this we offer gentle removal with PhiRemoval.
